When I take you on as a client, it's because I truly believe I can make a difference for you. Every project gets my personal attention and when we need extra expertise, I’ll bring in seasoned and trusted experts to collaborate. My journey has given me a unique perspective. I've honed my skills in fast-paced agencies and spent decades of work in-house where departments often work in partnership. I don't box myself in with rigid scopes of work. Instead, I'm laser-focused on one thing: helping you achieve your goals, whatever it takes. It's not just about deliverables for me – it's about results that move your business forward.
Media Relations
Media relations is the core of traditional public relations. After nearly 30 years working in media relations, I pride myself on the depth and breadth of my relationships with journalists and my respect and admiration for their trade. As much as I love pitching media, I also love hearing them talk about stories they are working on and trends they are seeing.
Crisis Management
All the planning in the world is not enough to avoid a crisis. I work with clients to establish a well-planned strategy for a variety of scenarios and provide advanced training, so that when a crisis arises, the team is prepared. I have helped manage and counsel companies on a wide range of issues, from public tragedies (2003 Northeast Black Out, Superstorm Sandy) to individual reputational crises.
Community Affairs
Perhaps the most overlooked and undervalued element of communications is community relations. Hyper-local continues to be an important and growing trend, reflecting the influence of powerful community groups. More than 25 years ago, I took on the community affairs role for Chelsea Piers. I fell in love with the deep relationships and meaningful work that is accomplished at the local level and see this work as a core element to successful external communications.
